My Top 5 Favourite Mascaras of all time!!

My Top 5 Mascaras is a tough one even before I was really in to make up, Mascara was one of the only items I owned. I loved how it make my eyes look bigger and brighter.

I never really noticed how fussy I was with mascara even all those years ago, and like with anything I review these are my own opinions and my favourites, they may not work for you the way they do for me, Mascara is a very personal thing I have over the years purchased ones that friends recommended and that looked really good on them but on me just didn’t work they would clump up or not give me the volume and length that I wanted.

In 5th Place:

This is the Mascara that I used for years and years and until a couple of years ago I thought I would never find anything better.

L’oreal Paris False Lash Telescopic – £10.99 from Boots or Superdrug

This Lengthens and Volumises the eyelashes without them looking clumpy and too much.

I have not used this in a while only  because my latest one dried up and I have not yet replaced it as I have others that I am using at the moment. I don’t like to have too many as some of them dry up pretty quick. But I will be repurchasing it, its for sure my current favourite Drugstore Mascara!!

In 4th Place

Trying to place 4th and 3rd was hard as the end result is quote similar with these next mascaras but this only just missed out.

The Tarte Man-eater Mascara – £21 from Tarte.com

It was tough between this mascara and number 3  because I almost feel that the only reason this one didn’t make it to 3rd is purely because it can get a little clumpy if you try and layer it, it looks amazing with up to 2 coats any more and it does go very clumpy. I love the results of this though with a couple of coats its amazing!! The Brush/Spooley is amazing!! When I first saw it I though I wouldn’t like but its really good at separating the lashes and the bristles are fairly hard which I kinda like.

In 3rd Place

This mascara is brilliant for days I want a more natural everyday look but if you want a little more va va voom you are able to layer and add more coats.

NuSkin Curling Mascara  £26 From Nuskin.co.uk

This Mascara is brilliant, it can give you the best of both world a nice natural lash or very long full lashes without clumping, one of the other things I love about it is the fact thats its sooooo easy to remove but yet it stays put all day long and doesn’t smudge!! Love it!!!!

In 2nd Place

This one was my number 1 for quite a few years!!! And I still love it very much!!

Benefit They’re Real Mascara – £20.50 From Benefitcosmetics.co.uk

I love love this mascara it makes my lashes so full and long that I never really felt the need to attempt or to try to put on Falsies!!! I feel that for me this is still one of the best mascaras out there!!! The only reason that its not my number one anymore is because of a new discovery I made in the last 6 months.

So this is is soooooo good!!! I love it!! It is the best that I have tired so far!!!

Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara – £19.00 from Debenhams.co.uk

I originally got a sample in a GlossyBox and then got a second sample size in a Birchbox, I have used them both up now and will be re-purchasing the full size one. This makes my eyelashes look so long and full without looking spidery and clumpy, I absolutely love it its my go to when I want full glam eyes!! I can’t seem to be able to apply Falsies on myself so this Mascara makes me feel like I don’t really need them.

I will add some photos of me with these mascaras on I stupidly didn’t take any before having the idea to create this post.

I never really realised that my top 4 were on the higher end of the scale and quite pricey, so I’m going to set myself a challenge to find the Best Drugstore Mascaras!!! I will do some research and it will probably take me a few months to test them out properly, if anyone has any recommendations for good Drugstore Mascaras please leave a comment so I can give them a go!!
