So I have quite a few of the Real Techniques brushes most of them were purchased for me by my husband as gifts for my Birthday and Christmas. I don’t quite remember which order I got them in but Ill just run through them in sections fort example Ill to all the eyes brushes together then all the face brushes in groups such as Foundation Liquid and powder, and then blush, contouring and highlighting.

So I will just start by saying that I absolutely love these brushes they are so good and I feel that they come with a reasonable price tag too. I also love their creators Sam and Nic from Pixiwoo (YouTubers) I have learnt so much from their YouTube Channel and I love the fact that they teamed up with Real Techniques to come up with these amazing brushes.

Although I don’t remember the exact order that I got most of them I do remember the first brush that I bought and it was the Expert Face Brush, it was actually on a recommendation from another amazing YouTuber called Lauren Curtis she used to love this brush to apply liquid foundation, so I really wanted to try it out.

So here it is my Real Techniques Brush Collection and my thoughts on them…..

Expert Face Brush – £9.99

I love this brush to apply my liquid foundations with, its my go too brush, as the bristles are fairly short and tightly packed I feel that that it applies on the product quite evenly and softly.

Powder Brush – £12.99

I use this brush to apply my powder as and when I set my foundation I tend to use this on a more day to day basis and I will also use the Bold 103 Powder Brush occasionally but I find myself picking this one up more.

Sculpting Brush – £9.99

This is the brush I use to blend my contour once I have applied it with my contour brush. I really like this brush its quite dense so you don’t need to apply a lot of pressure the lighter the hand the better to blend you contour in.

Stippling Brush – £11.99

This brush is fairly multi functional, I sometimes use it to apply liquid foundation, or to stipple on a second layer of liquid foundation to build up to a more Full coverage look. It can also be used to stipple on blush to the apples of the cheeks.

This is the brush that I received randomly , I use it to set my under eyes with a loose powder. Its a good brush its the perfect size to fit in the under eye area.

Blush Brush – I got this one for Free when I purchased this Pixiwoo DVD

I love this brush for applying blush its my go to brush for blush. You can also buy the blush brush on its own but it come in pink and not with the same pattern as above, the price is £9.99.

Highlight and Glow Set – £19.99

This set come with 3 brushes:

Multi Task Brush – I actually have 2 of these, as the name suggests it is a very versatile brush, I have used it to apply blush, to blend my contour, to apply powder to small areas like T zone, you can also use it to apply liquid foundation. Its a brilliant brush.

Targeted Blending Brush – I mainly use this brush to apply and blend in my concealer under my eyes, I love it for this, but its pretty much its only purpose.

Compact Fan Brush – This brush is probably my most unused brush, I only ever really use it to apply a little highlight on my brow bone and even for that I tend to reach for other brushes.

Essential Set – £22.99

Essential Foundation Brush – Im not very keen on using this for foundation and I feel it leaves it all streaky I would then need to go in with a Sponge to blend it more, I do however prefer it to apply my concealer under my eye but then again I will go in after with a sponge or a different brush to blend it in.

Domed Shadow Brush – This brush I use to blend shadows along my crease or to pack on shadows to my lid. Its a good brush for both uses.

Multi Task Brush – As I have 2 of theses please see above.

Core Collection 1403 – £21.99

Contour Brush – I use this brush more to remove translucent powder  if I have baked my under eye area, rather then for contouring I feel I have better brushes for contouring which I have or will mention in this post.

Pointed Foundation Brush – Same as above I use this one more to apply concealer to my under eye area, and I don’t really like applying foundation with this type of brush but i guess its all about preference.

Detailer Brush – I love this brush for applying highlight to the inner corner or my eye, as well as highlight my brow bone and down my nose.

Buffing Brush – I use this to apply foundation it really buffs it in as the name suggest I also like to use to to buff in/blend my contour to make it look less sharp.

shopping

Cheek and Lip Set – £9.99 (Gordons) could not find it on a UK site.

Cheek Brush – I use this brush for various things such as applying blush, contour and even highlight its also brilliant to blend in everything.

Duo Fibre Contour Brush – This is again a brush that I have not yet found a good use for, I  sometimes use it to remove powder if I bake by under eyes, but other than that I have not really used it much.

Lip Brush – I have never used this brush I tend to apply lipstick straight from the bullet. Maybe I will try to use it and see how I feel about it.

Starter Set 1406

Deluxe Crease Brush – I love to use this koto apply darker shadows to the outer corner of my eyes and then blend it up towards my crease.

Base Shadow Brush – This is a really good brush to apply to shadows to a more defined area I just use the tip of the brush onto the eyeshadow pan then I apply to which ever  area I need it on.

Accent Brush – This brush is goof to apply a highlight shade on the inner corner of the eyes.

Fine Liner Brush – I am yet to master the technique to apply gel eyeliner with this brush. I have only tried once or twice and it went badly so have not tried to a little while.

Brow Brush – I prefer using this brush to apply shadows to create a softer eyeliner rather than use it for eyebrows.

Brow Set – £19.99

The 2 tweezers are really good, they do what they are suppose to do.

Slanted Brow Spoolie – I use this everyday to brush through my eyebrows so I can see where I need to fill them in.

Slanted Arched Definer – I don’t tend to use this very often but I sometimes use it to smudge eyeliner on my lower last line, I find its pretty good for that. Its also good to clean up around my eyebrows to make them neater.

Slanted Brow Brush – I love this brush for filling in my eyebrows. Nothing else I can say about it.

Bold Metals Collections – £35.00 (Christmas gift set not longer available)

Bold 103 Angled Powder Brush – This brush feels so soft its unreal I love to apply powder with it if I am setting my whole face, its brilliant.

Bold 300 Tapered Blush Brush – I love this brush to apply my highlight with and thats what I mainly use it for.

Bold 200 Oval Shadow Brush – I normally use this brush to blend my crease area once I already have done most of the work with other brushes its brilliant just to finish of the eye.

Most of the brushes were bought for me in Boots and they normally have buy One Set/Brush and get second for half price and my husband normally takes advantage of that. I will add the links below:

I really love these brushes and I do reach for them more than my sigma ones, I don’t think its for a particular reason I just prefer them, and I have a lot more of them, I also love the fact that they are colourful too and very well made. They have just released some more sets and I do know that I don’t probably need any more, but I can’t help have  little look. Plus its my  Birthday soon 😜.
