So I was incredibly lucky to spend my birthday weekend in San Francisco with a very good friend. It wasnāt planned and it was very last minute which made it even more special!!!
Anyone that knows me knows how much I have wanted to go to America, its always been a dream of mine, Im Ā a huge fan of several American shows such as Friends, Buffy, Sex and the City, Greys Anatomy just to name a few and also a lot of my favourite films have been filmed in incredible cities around America, so its always been a country that I have wanted to visit. And now that I have I canāt wait to go back and explore more.
Although my trip was very short we were only there for 2 nights, we managed to fit a lot in and did all this things I wanted to do.
It was my first long haul flight just short of 11 hours, and I wasnāt sure what to expect but it actually was very good, we flew with Virgin which in itself was an amazing experience!! The Crew were lovely and the food and drink on the plane was pretty good. The inflight entertainment was also good, I watched 5 films on the way there and I did manage to get a little sleep.
We landedĀ at around 5pm PST, we were staying at Parc 55 Hilton Hotel in Union Square so it was very central which was brilliant, and just around the corner was The Cheesecake Factory I had heard amazing things about it and couldnāt wait to try it out, it didnāt disappoint I opted for a Cheese Burger and Fries and it was very yummy!!! I was so full that I couldnāt eat a cheesecake after (which is very unlike me) but the portion was pretty huge!!! After dinner as we were both so tired we decided to have an early night, I think we were in bed by 10.30pm PST.
On Saturday the 23rd of June, we got up nice and early at around 8am, we got ready and went to queue up to get a Tram/Cable Car from Union square to Fishermans Wharf, which was a lovely place full of seafood markets, stools, restaurants and cafes. The Tram /cable cars ride was so cool I felt like I was in one of the many films I had watched although in the films they never had to queue!! š
We reached Fishermenās Wharf and The food smelled amazing, we then walked over to Pier 39 and had breakfast at a place called Wipe out it was a very surf inspired restaurant it was really cool, we both opted for Pancakes with eggs and Bacon, (couldnāt go to America and not try American pancakes), and oh my goodness they were so so good, so light and fluffy just perfect!!

From there we had a little walk around the shops and then went to see the sea lions but my friend said that usually there are a lot more, there were only a few there but still super cute!!

We decided to walk from there all the way to Golden Gate Bridge which was 4.2 miles, it was such a lovely walk as it was such a beautiful day.
It was absolutely breathtaking seeing the bridge for the first time in the distance and as corny as it may sound, things like this really amaze me, because I have seen it on TV a million times and never really thought I would get the opportunity to see it in person!! It truly was incredible!!! And I am so very grateful that I was able to go and see it for myself!! We then walked across the bridge too which was 1.7 miles when we got across the bridge we got a tour bus down to the cutest little Mediterranean Town calledĀ Sausalito, it felt like we were in Italy it was so lovely, we had a bite to eat there too and then went on to get the Ferry across to Pier 1, the ferry was pretty cool and Ā slowed down as we went past Alcatraz prison. I will add some pics but they are not that great.
We then made our way back to hotel from pier 1 stopping off at a couple of shops on the way back, we stopped off at Target and I picked up a couple of drugstore make up items that are hard to get hold of in the UK. By the end of the day we were both so tired we grabbed a quick take out Burrito and went back to our room to chill and relax.
On the Sunday it was my Birthday and we started the day by going for Breakfast at The Cheesecake Factory it was hands down the best breakfast I have ever eaten in my life I chose the French Toast and wowĀ šĀ it was just amazing!!!

We then went to Sephora again a place I have dreamed about going so long after hearing so many YouTubers go on and on about it!!!And yeah I know that to some people that may seem a little sad but for a make up enthusiast it doesnāt really get much better than that, it was so overwhelming actually being around that much make up and having the freedom of applying/playing with make up as you wish, it was crazy none of the shops here in the UK would allow that.
Sephora have little stands pretty much in every corner with make up remover, cotton pads, cotton buds, disposable applicators for lipsticks, eyeshadow and mascara, never seen anything like that!!! In the UK we are lucky to find a tissue to wipe swatches of our hands lol Ā šš¤£!!! Although I could have spent hundreds in there I was very good and only bought a couple of bits, Ā but it was things that I have wanted to try out which was brilliant!!! I was very pleased with my purchases!!

I got the Huda Beauty Liquid lipstick in Trophy Wife, Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions Palette and the Kat Von D Setting Powder in Mini from Sephora and then from Target I got the Physicians Formula Butter Bronze Bronzer and the Wet and Wild Ombre Blush
In the afternoon it was time to get ourselves packed and ready to leave, unknowingly to usĀ the LGBT Pride Parade took place Sunday and our hotel room had the perfect view of it so we were able to catch some of the action which was really cool.
I had the best Birthday and I honestly couldnāt pick out what my favourite bit was as I loved all of it!!! So I just wanted to say thank you to my friend Claudia who took me along with her on her trip and taking me around and showing me how beautiful San Francisco is.
This was a different type of blog from what I am used to doing, but I really wanted to be able to look back on this in the future and remind myself how incredible this trip was and how lucky I was to have been able to go on it with such an amazing friend!!!
Thanks for reading my lovelies and hope you enjoyed!!
